Background
Our client βKinshipβ had an idea for a new web-based service that connects pet owners to local pet care businesses. The project was kicked off in late Q1 2021 and the client reached out to Graveflex to build their initial website for both consumer (pet parents) and provider (business owner) side of the interface.
The Problem
At the beginning of the project, our client already completed the research about their target users and provided us with a clear direction of the service.

To know about the local pet businesses and their service.
To book appointments for their pet easily.

To increase new appointments and customers.
To save time and money to run their business.
Therefore, GoodFriend wantsβ¦
To scale their platform by providing multiple pet services
To differentiate from other competitors.
One platform, two users
The goal for the MVP launch of the platform was by Q3 2021 and we had to provide a complete user journey for two different user models by allowing consumer users to book appointments and providers to manage their appointments on the platform.
The Solutions
We separated the interface for two different user models. Both users can log in or sign up through the same domain but they'll have different user flow and experiences after they log in to the platform according to the user account type.
Pet Parents
Feature 01: Search Local Pet Care Businesses
Search businesses by location, and service type.
Search by business name if the user already knows the specific business.
Check the location of pet businesses on the map.
Feature 02: Book an appointment
Check the real-time availability for each business.
Select the pet, service, and schedule that the customer wants.
Save card info as a payment method and save it for future appointments.
Business Owners
Feature 01: Manage business
Set up services.
Set up staff and their availabilities.
Set up payment.
Feature 02: Manage appointments
Receive appointment requests online.
View upcoming, old appointments at a glance.
Check in/out for each appointment easily.
Design Process
Define full user journey for two different user model
Design iteration using Wireframes
Validate the selected design through user testing
Determine and present the final designs using Hi-Fi mockups.

Result
We successfully launched MVP in Q3 2021 and we could continue the contact with GoodFriend since our performance fulfilled the client's expectations and proved that we can keep improving the platform for more. Now, this project is still ongoing and the service is growing fast by getting more new users day by day.
